Chinese Hamburger, Chinese Hamburger Casserole recipes

It is a very popular snack in West China, especially in Xi’an of Shaanxi Province. The Chinese Hamburger of Xi’an is a perfect combination of Braised Meat in Preserved Sauce and Baiji Pancake. The meat is more tender and fresh than the ordinary braised pork. With various kinds of ingredients, proper cooking and age-old soup, the meat is ruddy, soft, fragrant and melty.

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms or 1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms

 

 

Directions:

 

  • 1 Brown meat in skillet.
  • 2 Add remaining ingredients except noodles.
  • 3 Stir well and pour into a 2 quart casserole.
  • 4 Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
  • 5 Uncover and bake another 30 minutes.
  • 6 Sprinkle noodles over top and return to oven and bake an additional 15 minutes.
  • 7 Serves 8.

  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 2 medium onions, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 cup white rice, washed 
  • 1 can chinese noodles, crisp
